Thinking about choosing a Medicare plan? Concerned about your current Medicare choices because your medical, prescription or financial needs have changed? We want to make sure that you have a plan that is accepted by your Atrius Health providers and can best support your healthcare needs and budget.

We are delighted to share with you that we accept a 5-Star Medicare Advantage plan** and whether you are choosing a plan for the first time, or re-assessing your current Medicare coverage, eligible Medicare beneficiaries can now enroll each month.  (Typically, Medicare beneficiaries would have to wait for the Annual Election Period in the fall to change plans, but 5-Star plans allow enrollment every month.)  Medicare Advantage has been a great option for many Atrius Health patients.

Attend a Medicare Education Session:

Many of our patients have expressed the desire to understand more about the Medicare options available to them. As a service to our patients, Atrius Health is hosting a Medicare specialist from Tufts Health Plan at several education sessions in convenient locations near many of our practices.  Below is schedule of the sessions available in May and June.  Please note this is not a sales meeting. Atrius Health accepts the following Medicare Plans:

1. Tufts Medicare Preferred HMO (a Medicare Advantage plan)

Medicare Advantage provides affordable Medicare Part A and B coverage, wellness benefits, and optional Part D drug plans and dental coverage.  The ONLY Medicare Advantage plan that has been accepted at Atrius Health since 2007 is the 5-STAR rated Tufts Medicare Preferred HMO which offers a variety of plans, starting at a $0 premium.*

2. Original Medicare and Original Medicare with supplements

Atrius Health accepts Original Medicare and most Medicare supplements.

We may also contract with other Plans/Part D sponsors

 * You must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium.
Medicare Specialists are available Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. (7 days a week, 8.am – 8 p.m. Oct. 1 – Feb. 14). Tufts health Plan has HMO plans with a Medicare Contract. Enrollment in Tufts Health Plan depends on contract renewal. This information is not a complete description of benefits. Contact the plan for more information.
