If you’re like many people these days, you use your smartphone or other mobile devices more and more to access websites and get information online. To help you find the information you seek about Harvard Vanguard, regardless of the device you are using, we are pleased to announce that we have upgraded our mobile website.
Now, when you select www.harvardvanguard.org from your mobile browser, you’ll get the same content that you do when you view it from a desktop computer. Although it’s been formatted differently to fit your phone’s screen better, there are links to heavily viewed sections of the site such as “I want to Find a Location” and MyHealth Online, current news and blog posts can be browsed, and the “Quick Links” section of the desktop website – to Online Bill Pay, 24/7 Medical Advice and Find a Phone Number, to name a few – are still at the bottom of each page.
The main menu of the site can be viewed when you click on the 3 bars in the upper left-hand corner, and these are the same choices as on our desktop site.
We’ve built “breadcrumbs” into the navigation so you always know where you are and how to get back to your starting point. You’ll get your menu choices in the drop down list, but the page you’re on displays in the dark blue bar at the top, and the level above that is highlighted in white with a back arrow.
The Find a Doctor section operates just as it did before on mobile, but other great new mobile site features are:
- Find a Location provides you one-touch dialing to the practice and department-level phone numbers, information about weekday and weekend/holiday hours for key departments, a link to Google maps for driving directions, and easy links within the departments to view a list of specialty clinicians who work at that practice or to get more specialty information.
- The Specialties & Services section contains comprehensive information about the specialties we have and the services we provide to our patients, as well as locations and contact information
- Under Current Patients, you can find information about 24/7 medical advice, urgent care, important medical forms, paying your bill, MyHealth Online, and so much more.
- The “Quick Links,” located at the bottom of every page, make it easy to find a phone number, pay your bill online, order a prescription refill, or learn more about after-hours care.
- The best part is: there’s a Search function, just like on the desktop site, so if you can’t find what you’re looking for, just click on the magnifying glass at the top of every page!
